Getting Started with PoultryPro

Welcome to PoultryPro! This guide will help you get up and running with your poultry farm management system in just a few minutes.

What is PoultryPro?

PoultryPro is a comprehensive farm management platform designed specifically for poultry farmers in Kenya and East Africa. It helps you:

  • Track flocks - Monitor bird counts, mortality, and health
  • Record production - Log daily egg collection and feed consumption
  • Manage finances - Track costs, revenue, and profitability
  • Control inventory - Manage feed, medications, and supplies

PoultryPro uses a multi-tenant architecture, allowing you to manage multiple farms under one organization with proper access controls.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
  • An email address for account creation
  • Basic information about your farm (name, location, flock details)

Quick Start

Step 1: Create an Account

  1. Navigate to poultrypro.co.ke
  2. Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email address

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

After signing in, you'll be prompted to create your organization:

  1. Organization Name - Your farm or company name
  2. Subdomain - A unique identifier (e.g., my-farm.poultrypro.co.ke)
  3. Location - Your primary farm location
  4. Currency - KES, USD, or other supported currencies

Choose your subdomain carefully - it cannot be changed later. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only.

Step 3: Add Your First Farm

Organizations can manage multiple farms. Start by adding your first one:

  1. Go to FarmsAdd New Farm
  2. Enter farm details:
    • Farm name
    • Location
    • Farm type (Layers, Broilers, Mixed)
  3. Click Create Farm

Step 4: Create Your First Flock

Now add your first flock of birds:

  1. Navigate to FlocksAdd New Flock
  2. Fill in the details:
    • Flock name (e.g., "Batch 2026-01 Layers")
    • Farm selection
    • Breed
    • Initial bird count
    • Start date
  3. Click Create Flock
